Halloween Village at Department 56. I'd sell an organ for this set!

Happy Birthday, TwilightMOMS!

The cast of Twilight wishes TMs a Happy Birthday from the red carpet!

I'm back!

I have been shamefully remiss in updating my blog over the last month. In my defense, though, it has been a very busy month! Let's see....what have been up to since the last time I posted?

• I went to L.A. to help with the TwilightLive podcast
• I went back to L.A. the following week for the Twilight Premiere
• I went to Disneyland with the family for Thanksgiving
• I came down with the sinus infection from Hell (I'm still not completely recovered)
• I went down to L.A. to see Jackson Rathbone's band

Add in work, Christmas shopping, Christmas decorating, soccer finals, cleaning, TMs site stuff, and seeing Twilight 5 times and you'll have an understanding of how hectic things have been recently. I'm really looking forward to next year when things (hopefully) slow down a bit. I do promise to try to update my blog more often, though.

Here are a few pictures to tide you over until my next update.

My Red Girl

This week is Red Ribbon week at Em's school. The Red Ribbon Campaign is also a CALL TO ACTION! This week-long campaign provides multiple opportunities for students, parents, teachers and others to join together to address the alcohol, tobacco, other drug and violence related issues or concerns in their community.

Each day of the week, the children are encouraged to take part in that days activities as a way to keep up interest and have fun while learning about this very serious issue.

Monday - Sports Day - students could wear any sports related clothing.
Tuesday - Funny Hat Day
Wednesday - Come to school in your Pajamas Day (the students seem to be particularly fond of this)
Thursday - Red Day - students wear as much red as they can. The class who wears the most red wins an ice cream party.
Friday - Halloween Costume Day

Since Em owns almost nothing in red, I had to improvise. I decorated the child in red ribbons from head to toe!

Let the Sun Shine!

What song was #1 on the Billboard Charts the day you were born? Find out HERE.

And what do you know! This happens to be one of my favorite songs! Aquarius was #1 on my birth date, May 10, 1969. I don't know what this video is from but it's very cute!

Tis the Season!

No, not that season! Fall! My favorite time of year. I just love when the heat breaks, and the mornings get chilly, and the air has a crispness to it. I love watching the leaves change, and the days get shorter (I've always been a night owl)and I love pumpkin! Anything pumpkin but especially Starbucks Pumpkin Spiced lattes! Yum! And then, of course, there's my favorite holiday...Halloween! I always decorate early so I can enjoy all the frightful fun for as long as possible. This weekend Em and I put up our inside decorations and I snapped a few pictures to share with you. I took these in B+W with an orange highlight. Enjoy!

Forks trip - Day 3C

After the festivities started to wind down, we drove back over to La Push to go to the tide pools at Rialto Beach. Honestly? I think I've found Heaven on earth! The beauty is indescribable! My pictures don't do it justice but they may give you an idea of how spectacular this place is.

When we arrived, the beach was socked in with fog and freezing but we were determined so we started our trek to the tide pools (about 20-30 minutes down the beach). By the time we reached them, the fog had cleared and the sun was shining brilliantly over the ocean.

Enjoy!

The sand is actually tiny, smooth pebbles that make the shore look black.

Georgia taking pictures. Her shots are gorgeous! I'l post a few of them later.

I call this one "Midnight Sun" :)

Britten's "Jacob" bracelet. Isn't that a pretty shot? Photo taken by the talented and brilliant Britten :)

We made it back just as the moon was rising and headed back to our cabin for a weenie roast.
